Words that resonated for me:

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

- Albert Einstein

While high school art, an Associate of Arts degree, one-on-one tutoring, classes led by other artists, critiques, and learning the rules of composition, value, and color all have provided a solid artistic base for me, the process of allowing art to happen on the canvas takes longer to learn. As an adult, letting one's inner child play on the canvas has been one of the most magical aspects of my art.

Transparent and reflective objects have long captivated me, for they change one's perspective and point of reference. Through the forgiving medium of oils, choosing these favored subjects has allowed for a more ethereal and playful feel on the canvas, a process that has become very rewarding.
